When visiting Beşiktaş, We chose to step away from structured interviews to understand Istanbul through everyday encounters. This is how we met Büşra and Irem.

Tavla and çay are everyday rituals in Beşiktaş. They create space to sit, talk, and spend time without rushing. This wasn’t an interview. It was an interruption of our busy schedule and it made us feel a bit more Istanbulites.
